The GTX 1050 is a lower end graphics card by Nvidia designed to compete against the more affordable AMD gaming GPUs. It was released in January 2017, almost 2 years after the 960 was released. The GTX 1050 is built on the GP107 chip, unlike the faster models which are based on the GP106 chips. It is based on Pascal architecture and manufactured in the 14 nm process.
The GTX 1050 features 640 shader processing units. It is clocked at 1354 MHz for the base clock speed and 1493 MHz for the boost clock speed. Furthermore, it is fitted with a maximum of 4 GB GDDR5 memory attached using a 128-bit interface. the memory speed is clocked at 7000 MHz and it has a total bandwidth of 112 GB/s. Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M
The GTX 960 is a mid-range level mobile GPU. It was released in March 2015 by Nvidia as a graphics solution for laptops. Moreover, the GPU is based on the older Maxwell architecture. It is built on the GM107 chip using the 28 nm manufacturing process. The 960M has higher clock speed than the previous generation GeForce GTX 860M, therefore its performance is equal or slightly above the Desktop GTX 750 Ti.

Moreover, it is shipped with up to 4 GB GDDR5 type memory connected via a 128-bit bus interface. The memory is clocked at 5000 MHz. The 960M consumes about 60 watts, similar to the GTX 860.
