Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050
The GTX 1050 is a budget gaming level graphics card released by Nvidia in 2016. It is based on the Pascal architecture and uses the GP 107 chip unlike other faster models, It is manufactured in the 14 nm process technology.
The base model features 640 CUDA cores and runs at a frequency of 1354 MHz that can be boosted up to 1455 MHz. It has 2GB GDDR5 memory configuration connected with a 128-bit interface at a maximum memory bandwidth of 112 GB/s.
The GTX 1050 also features a 3GB GDDR5 variant that has 768 cores, 1392 MHz base clock and 1518 MHz boost clock speed. It has a maximum memory bandwidth of 84 GB/s over the 96-bit interface.
The mobile (laptop version) of the GTX 1050 has 640 cores just like in the desktop model but it features a 4GB GDDR5 VRAM and lower clock speeds.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 760
The GTX 760 is a mid-range gaming desktop graphics card that was released in 2013. It is based on the older Kepler architecture and built on the GK104 chip in the 28 nm process. The GPU features 1152 CUDA cores. It runs at a base clock speed of 980 MHz which can be boosted up to 1033 MHz.
The GTX 760 features a 2 GB GDDR5 standard memory configuration and a maximum memory bandwidth of 192.2 GB/s over the 256-bit interface. The memory speed is clocked at 6000 MHz.

The following are the results of the GTX 1050 vs GTX 760 benchmarks. The older GTX 760 plays titles released in 2014 or before excellently. Userbenchmark results suggest that the GTX 760 still holds up and there is no big performance difference between the two. CS GO runs at 115 fps on the GTX 760 and 114 fps on the GTX 1050 at maximum settings in 1080p.
The 1050 slightly edges out the 760 in GTA V with 39 fps vs 37 fps in 1080p at maximum settings. The GTX 760 outshines the 1050 in Battlefield 4 with 58 fps against the GTX 1050’s 49 fps. In Overwatch maximum settings in 1080p, the 1050 provides 63 fps while the GTX 760 provides 57 fps.
The GTX 1050 also performs better in other titles such as DOTA 2, Witcher 3, League of Legends and Battlefield 1.
The GTX 1050 has less power consumption. It is rated at 75 W TDP while the GTX 760 is rated at 160 W TDP
The newer GTX 1050 performs slightly better than the GTX 760 graphics card, however, for someone with the GTX 760. The difference may not be enough to warrant an upgrade. New users must consider that the GTX 760 runs on the outdated Kepler architecture.
