In this RX 580 vs GTX 1660 comparison review, we will compare the good and the bad of these two graphics cards from different companies AMD and Nvidia.
Overview and Architecture
The AMD Radeon RX 560 4gb is a middle-class graphics card that is based on the Polaris architecture. It is the second generation on this line was released on April 2017. It is the refresh of the RX 480 released months prior. The modifications yielded an improved performance per wattage.
The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 is another mid-level graphics card from Nvidia. It was released on March 2019. It was designed to compete against AMD’s affordable gaming cards such as the RX 570 and RX 580.
The RTX 580 is equipped with a GPU codenamed Polaris 20 XTX while the GTX 1660 is codenamed TU166-300-A1.

We tested these 2 graphic cards in these three games; CSGO, Fortnite and League of Legends. Our results show that the RX 580 was edged by the GTX 1660 in all games. The GTX 1660 recorded great game FPS than the RX 580.
Personally, the winner for this versus is the GTX 1660. It performs well than the 580 in all three games that it is the reason of choosing it as the winner.
